While Hayley’s academic and commissioned sound works are oriented around voice and storytelling, her live sets showcase another side of her artistic practice. Blending live instrumentation, such as clarinet, shruti, and guitar, with analogue synthesisers, field recordings, and textured samples, Hayley creates richly evocative drone-soaked ambiences that are drawn out into slowly shifting immersive compositions.

Hayley’s live sets have been performed at venues such as Iklektik, The White Hotel, SOUP, The Stoller Hall, and Hallé St Michaels, as well as for Todmorden’s TOR Fest and BBC Radio 3’s Northern Drift.
